Agro-resources

Naturally supportive of sustainable development, the Grap’Sud group recovers the co-products from its industrial processes for various agricultural uses within a circular economy approach.

These productions, which were traditionally reserved for the member co-operatives who wanted to see the organic matter returned to their soil, have since been developed and structured to be used in wider applications.

Grape pulp

The pulps, which are available in dry or moist form, come from grape marcs that are treated solely by physical processes. After the distillation phase, the exhausted marc is washed - and dried - and then sorted in order to isolate the pulp, which is then crushed.

Depending on the applications, the pulp may be delivered moist, for rapid use, or dried, to enable it to be stored while preserving its natural qualities. The significant content in terms of organic matter is attractive to a variety of industries.

Applications

  • Production of organic fertilisers
  • Fibres for animal feed
  • Drying agent for animal feed
  • Possible use as a biofuel

Depending on the matters used, we differentiate two products with distinct analytical profiles :

  • Generic organic amendment (NFU 44-095): standard product, with a relative N-P-K balance that makes it suitable for many crops.
  • Superior organic amendment (NFU 44-051): a relatively rich product (particularly in K), especially intended for vine-growing (usable in Organic Agriculture in accordance with Regulations EC n° 834/2207 and n° 889/2008).

Applications

  • Re-integration of organic matter into exhausted agricultural soils
  • Improvement of the structure and chemical balance of soils
  • Balancing of the organic matter content for ornamental plants.

Liquid organic potassium fertiliser

This organic potassium fertiliser has been developed from the co-products of distillation of winemaking matters by physical processes of filtration and concentration. This natural fertiliser, which is rich in organic plant matter and in nutrients, provides a sustainable alternative to mineral inputs with a concentrated potash content, especially suitable for vine growing.

Intended for environmentally-friendly agriculture, this natural fertiliser complies with the characteristics of the AFNOR NF42001/A11 standard and may be used in Organic Agriculture in accordance with Regulations EC n°834/2007 and n° 889/2008.

Applications

  • Supply of basic chemical elements, directly usable and absorbable
  • Supply of nutritional elements for crops of different kinds
  • Application in combination with Grap’Sud organic amendment
