Agro-food solutions

The Grap’Sud group, which is established in several major vineyards, benefits from vast collection areas that provide constant supply and a diversified offer. The portfolio of agro-food products thus offers references that highlight this diversity of origins, profiles, and intrinsic features.

The eco-design of the Grap’Sud agro-food solutions fits perfectly into an international context that encourages sustainable production. Given the recent food crises and the numerous ingredients criticized, naturalness is becoming a value with the potential to reassure consumers.

  • a varied, constant, and controlled supply of raw materials
  • expertise and perfectly-managed industrial equipment
  • the complementary nature of the industrial sites
  • quality monitoring throughout the production chain.

The quality of the group’s productions thus stands out from the competition for the following reasons:

Natural colouring – Grape anthocyanins (E163)

  • Natural product
  • Producer’s guarantee
  • Full traceability
  • Origin: France

Grape anthocynanins - natural pigments belonging to the polyphenol family – are extracted from the skins of black grapes, and offer shades of colour from bright red to violet. This natural colouring, extracted from grapes, is especially to be found in the grape varieties established in the Mediterranean region.

Available in various forms, the anthocyanins produced by the Grap’Sud group are water-soluble and also soluble in alcohol to meet the needs of a wide range of end-use applications.

They come in a concentration of 2 to 3 colour units for the liquid form and from 9 to 12 colour units for the powder form.

Application

  • Drinks and syrups
  • Dairy products
  • Ice-creams and sorbets
  • Confectionery
  • Colourings for wines (authorised countries)

Wine extracts

  • Alcohol-free concentrated wines

With the advantage of being especially close to the wine sector, the group’s technical teams benefit from a vast area for the supply of wines. Those wines, available in red and in white, are selected to meet the criteria and the expectations of the food sector in terms of organoleptic quality, texture, colour, and concentration in dry matter, essential for the quality of the extracts.

Offered in liquid or powder form, these concentrated wine extracts are obtained through distillation and vacuum concentration.

Applications

  • Bases for sauces
  • Ready-cooked dishes
  • Alcohol-free drinks

Natural sugars extracted from fruits

  • Varied supply for price control
  • Full traceability
  • Naturalness
  • Dietetic
  • Clean label

The Grap’Sud group has an industrial section dedicated to the extraction of the sugars present in fruits. Grapes, apples, and dates make up the palette of fruits used in order to have a permanent supply and price stability in the long term.

The Nutritis range is composed of 4 natural and standardised sugars produced from rectification of the fruit concentrates, and the words “natural fruit sugars” are therefore authorised to appear on the packaging.

Applications

  • Food (drinks, ice-creams, jams, 100% fruit preparations, dietetic products)
  • Pharmaceuticals

Phenolic compounds

  • Natural extracts
  • Full traceability
  • Origin : France

The Grap’Sud group, established in the heart of several French vineyards, benefits from a vast supply of grape seeds (vitis vinifera) which are rich in polyphenols. The seeds selected by the quality service offer extracts that are standardised and guaranteed in oligomeric procyanidins (OPC).

Water-soluble and presented without a carrier, the Grap’Sud extracts have been based on many scientific studies in order to fulfil an increasingly wide range of applications.

Applications

  • Food supplements
  • Functional nutrition and drinks
  • Cosmetics

Natural tartaric acid (E334)

  • Natural extract, usable in organic production
  • Full traceability
  • Origin: Europe

Natural tartaric acid is a substance that is naturally found in many fruits and especially in grapes. The Grap’Sud group’s tartaric acid extraction plants treat the raw materials solely from the French wine-producing sector.

  • Pharmaceutical (acidifier, flavour enhancer, antioxidant, preservative, emulsifier)
  • Industry (setting retarder, metal polishing)

Of natural origin, this essential oil is obtained by hydro-distillation of solid wine lees coming exclusively from the Alsatian vineyards. It is a complex assembly of organic compounds, principally ethyl octanoate, ethyl decanoate and ethyl dodecanoate.

The essential oil from wine lees known as white is distinguished by the fruity aromas and the sweet and buttery notes that are typical of white grapes from Alsace.
