Oenological solutions

The Grap’Sud group is naturally inspired by the values of sustainable development and endowed with a substantial supply of wine sector co-products. It has therefore structured its offer within a circular economy approach, respectful of the environment, and has become an essential European player in the segment of oenological products that are 100% grape.

The Grap’Sud range of oenological products meets the expectations of the most demanding players, concerned with the image and the quality of their winemaking productions.

  • Rectified concentrated musts
  • Natural tartaric acid
  • Grape tannins

The rectified concentrated musts are produced in a purpose-built modern industrial unit, strategically located in the heart of the largest European vineyard in order to ensure that our range is constantly available and highly competitive. With the benefit of regular investment, the competitive advantages of the Grap’Sud oenological offer can be summed up in four key points:

  • Safety: through purchasing from a recognised and longstanding manufacturer, equipped with a modern production unit
  • Quality: through using a prime ingredient produced solely from grapes for a finished product that is 100% grape
  • Reliability: through using products that comply with the regulations in force in terms of quality and traceability
  • Responsiveness: through relying on a producer which offers products that are standardised, available, and documented.

The rectified concentrated musts

The MCR SUCRAISIN® rectified concentrated must is prepared from demineralised and concentrated grape juice. With a pre-defined and stable concentration, the MCR enables simplified use and dosage, which is appreciated by wine producers.

The Grap’Sud group quality system guarantees compliance with the regulatory requirements (EC 479/2008) in terms of food safety and also the absence of adulteration of the product with exogenous sugars. The group’s MCR range also comes in an Organic version (certified by Ecocert certification n°FR-BIO-01 agriculture EU) in order to meet the needs of organic winemaking, which is experiencing considerable growth in the national territory.

Natural tartaric acid (E334)

Natural tartaric acid is a substance that is naturally found in many fruits and more especially in grapes. The Grap’Sud group’s tartaric acid extraction plants treat the raw materials solely from the French wine-producing sector. Its natural origin makes it possible for it to be used in the organic production process.

Applications

  • Acidification of the wine and balancing of tastes
  • Conditioning of the vats

Grape tannins

Grap’Sud offers a range of tannins extracted from the skins and the seeds of white grapes. They are specially selected and purified using appropriate techniques that preserve, in particular, their antioxidant properties. In the exGrape TANNIN range, some products are naturally rich in grape polysaccharides.

  • Acts on the oxidation-reduction parameters
  • Stabilises the colour
  • Maintains freshness
